지난 2013년 7월 20일, 여성연합 말레이시아 본부는 페탈링 자야에 있는 평화대사관에서 ‘제2회 일본문화체험을 통한 국제친선교류’ 행사를 열었다. 이번 행사에는 80명의 사람들이 참석하였다.

먼저 여성연합 말레이시아의 리나 쳉 회장(WFWP 말레이시아)이 여성연합의 목표를 소개하고, 문화교류를 통해 종교와 인종을 넘어서 ‘하나님 아래 한 가족’을 이루자는 이번 행사의 취지에 대해 설명하였다.

이어 참석자들은 일본의 인사법과 유카타 입는 법, ‘세토노 하나요메’ 노래와 가위바위보 게임 그리고 본 오도리 춤을 배웠으며 스시를 직접 만들고 다 함께 시식하는 시간을 가졌다.

Asia - Malaysia: ‘The Second International Goodwill Exchange through a Japanese Culture Experience’

On July 20 2013, the WFWP Malaysia Headquarters hosted ‘The Second International Goodwill Exchange through a Japanese Culture Experience’ at the Peace Embassy located in Petaling Jaya. The event was attended by 80 people.

First, President Lina Chang of WFWP Malaysia gave an introduction to the goals of the WFWP, and explained the purpose of the event, which is to transcend religion and race through cultural exchanges and form ‘One Family under God’.

After that, the participants learned about greetings in Japan, how to wear a Yukata, an informal kimono, the song ‘Setono Hanayome’, how to play ‘rock, paper, scissors’, do the ‘Bon Odori Dance’, and they also had time to make sushi with their own hands and taste it.
