지난 3월 8일에 파라과이 지부에서는 ‘세계여성의 날’을 기념하는 행사를 세계평화통일가정연합 본부에서 가졌다.

사회를 맡은 Ms. Marisa Chilavert de Farina씨의 사회, “세계평화를 향한 아름다운 여성들의 활동” 비디오 시청, Evaristo Fernandez 회장(파라과이 세계평화가정연합)의 축사,  Roswitha Dueck de Giuliano 회장(파라과이 여성연합)의 파워포인트 프레젠테이션을 통해 여성연합의 활동소개, Larissa Ucedo 회원 및 훌륭한 파라과이 댄서의 아름다운 예술 공연이 있었다.

많은 여성 교수들과 파라과이 축구 국가 대표팀의 선수 어머니인 Ms. Nidia de Cuevas씨(인권운동가-여성의 인권을 위해 싸우고 있는 인물로 유명)가 참석하였다.

Latin America – Paraguay chapter International Women’s Day celebration

On March 8 we celebrated the International Women´s Day in Paraguay. It was held in the FFWPU headquarters. Even though we are starting activities it was a very good first meeting.

Mrs. Marisa Chilavert de Fariña welcomed the guest as MC. After the Video “Beautiful Women working toward Global Peace” , Mr. Evaristo Fernandez, Pres. of the FFWPU gave inspiring congratulatory words and Mrs Roswitha Dueck de Giuliano, Pres. Of the WFWP chapter Paraguay gave a Powerpoint presentation about the purpose and activities of WFWP International.  We had a beautiful artistic presentation by 2nd gen Larissa Ucedo with a wonderful Paraguayan dance.

The sisters supported by bringing new guests and food. We had very good level of guests. Many professional women participated, even Mrs. Nidia de Cuevas (Ña Tora) mother of one of the Paraguayan National Soccer Team Players (Nelson Cuevas).  She is much known in our country for her fighting for human rights, especially for Women´s rights. She was very inspired and stayed until late sharing with the participants.
