2009년부터 시작된 이 행사는 매번 UN 다카 정보센터와 천주평화연합(UPF), 그리고 여성연합(WFWP) 세 단체가 공동으로 진행하고 있다.

5월 3일에는 에서 열린 세미나는 라는 주제로 개최하였으며, 세미나에는 종교지도자, 교육자, 사회복지사, 학생지도자들로 구성된 70여명의 참석자가 자리했다.

이번 행사에스 방글라데시 여성연합 지부장인 지낫 아라 부이얀 여사 (Mrs. Zeenat Ara Bhuiyan)는 환영사로 참석자들을 환영하였다.

이 밖에도 많은 주요 인사들이 연설을 통해 가정의 중요성에 대해 설명하는 시간을 가졌다.

세미나는 천주평화연합과 여성연합에서 제안한 5개 항목을 담은 ‘세계 가정의 날 선언문’을 낭독하며 마무리 되었다.

Bangladesh activity report - International Day of Families 2011

Dhaka, Bangladesh - The United Nations Information Centre in Dhaka, the Universal Peace Federation, and the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) jointly organized a seminar on the International Day of Families 2011 titled “Family Crisis, Internal and External.” The seminar was attended by about 70 people: religious leaders, educators, social workers, and student leaders. It was held on May 3 at the Dhaka Business & Professional Women’s Club.

Mrs. Zeenat Ara Bhuiyan, President of WFWP-Bangladesh, delivered the welcoming remarks.

Besides, many of other speakers took the time to explain of importance of family through their speech.

Finally all participants read the UPF and WFWP Declaration of the International Day of Families, which contains five recommendations.
