지난 3월 27일은 캐나다 여성연합 몬트리올 지부는 첫 번째 행사로 100번째를 맞이하는 을 기념하여 ‘요람을 흔드는 손’ 이라는 주제로 세미나를 진행 하였다.

산드라 커슨씨는 세계 여성의 날의 역사적인 개요에 대하여 설명한 뒤 전 미국 사무 보좌관이자 전 유엔 여성지위위원회 대사인 혼 엘른 사우어브레이씨의 연설을 발췌한 것을 바탕으로 여성연합의 시각에서 발표를 하였다.

WFWP Canada - Montreal

Last Sunday, March 27, marked the first celebration of International Women's Day for the WFWP Montreal chapter. WFWP Canada chose the theme "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle" to commemorate IWD's 100th anniversary.

Sandra Cusson gave an historical overview of IWD before presenting a WFWP perspective based on excerpts of a speech by the Hon. Ellen Sauerbrey, a former US assistant sec. of state and former ambassador to the UN commission on the status of women.

Words from True Mother's WFWP 10th anniversary were also shared, along with Father's words from his autobiography on women's role in world peace.
