6월 13일부터 22일까지 브라질 리오 데자네이루에서 열린 ‘리오 +20 지속가능 개발 회의’에 브라질 여성연합이 참석하였다.

유엔 일반 자문지위 NGO로 있는 애자트 페라볼리 라틴 아메리카 부회장은 시민들의 정상회담과 리오센트로에서 열리는 공식적인 행사에 모두 참석하였다.

에코- 92 이후 20년 만에 리오에서 다시 전 세계 사람들이 모여 지속 가능개발에 관해 토론을 하게 되었다. 주요 주제들은 지속 가능성, 에너지, 해양, 재해 위험 감소, 관광이었다. 우리의 대지를 더 잘 보호할 수 있는 해결책을 찾기 위해 수 많은 토론회, 연설, 제안들과 각 나라의 상황들이 회의에서 다루어졌다.

여성연합은 여러 공식적인 행사에 참석하였으며 주요 초점은 ‘지속가능성에 있어 여성의 역할과 여성이 원하는 미래’ 라는 주제로 열린 ‘유엔 여성회의’였다.

WFWP-Brazil in the events of the Rio +20

The WFWP (AMPM Brazil) participated in the "Rio +20 Conference on Sustainable Development", based in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, between 13 and 22 June. Represented by its Regional Vice President Latin America, Mrs. Ezzat Ferabolli, being an NGO with General Consultative status United Nations has attended both meetings of the People's Summit, as well as in official events that happened in Riocentro.

Twenty years after Eco-92, again the city of Rio got people around the world to discuss sustainable development. The main themes were: Sustainability, Energy, Oceans, disaster risk reduction and Tourism.

Were carried out thousands of roundtables, speeches, proposals and contexts of each country seeking solutions to better care for our Mother Earth.

The WFWP participated in various official and parallel events, however its main focus was the meeting "UN Women", with the theme "Role of Women in Sustainability and the Future That Women Want."

Hundreds of documents were prepared and delivered to the authorities. According to the media, there was the participation of 193 countries with approximately 50,000 people accredited and a million people involved with the organization.
