2012년 4월 24일에 우크라이나 여성연합에서는 제5회 ‘어머니의 날’을 기념하여 연례 국제 컨퍼런스를 개최했다.

컨퍼런스의 목적은 가정, 모성과 평화 중재의 가치 아래 공공기관과 통일된 국가 그리고 평화로운 사회를 건설하는데 있어, 여성과 어머니의 역할을 강조하자는데 그 의의가 있다.

행사에는 우크라이나 전역에서 참가한 공공 대표들, 정부 부처 관계자들과, 시`구 단위의 책임자, 유명한 예술가, 교육가, 과학자 등 200여명이 참석했다.

중요한 것은 금번 행사가 우크라이나, 일본, 영국, 러시아의 대표들이 함께한 국제적인 지위를 가진 컨퍼런스였다는 것이다.

전통적으로 ‘올해의 여성상’ 시상식이 있었고 우크라이나 10명의 우수 여성들이 각기 다른 분야에서 수상을 했다.

‘여성-유명인사상’(Women-public figure)은 모든 우크라이나 공공 기관의 상위 단체인 ‘우크라이나의 여성 단체’가 차지했다.

6명의 재능 있는 아이들을 둔 어머니와 9명 손자를 거느린 할머니는 ‘여성-다자녀의 어머니상’(Women-mother of many children)을 지역 가정단체의 장으로부터 수여 받았다.

가장 큰 지역 중 하나인 키예프 지역의 발전을 위해 많은 일을 했고 최고심의회 부서와 학교 교장을 역임한 한 여성이 ‘여성-교사상’(Women-Teacher)을 받았다.

‘여성-올림픽 챔피언상’(Women-Olympic champion)은 5번 세계 챔피온이며, 4번의 유러피언 챔피온이며 1997년 세계 요트경기대회에서 우승한 자에게 돌아갔다.

키예프 국립대학의 국제 관계학과의 해외 언어학부의 교수협회는 ‘여성-과학자상’ (Women-Scientist) 을 수상했다.

또한 키예프에서 문화로서 가장 유명한 장소의 장이며 전직 지역 문화부서의 회장이 ‘여성- 문화인상’(Women-culture worker)을 수상했다.

이 외에도 ‘여성-예술인상’, ‘여성-의사상’, ‘여성-정치인상’, ‘여성-기자상’ 등을 수여했다.

컨퍼런스는 정부와 비정부기구들간의 협조의 중요성을 인식시키기 위한 목적으로도 진행되었다.

연설은 일본 여성연합 대표 후지우 노리코, 북잉글랜드 지역의 대표인 조세파 보로위, 여성연합 동북 대륙 회장인 올가 바쿨린스카야 여성연합의 국제적 게스트들이 맡아주었다.

참석자들은 어린 소녀 발레리아가 후지 노리꼬씨에게 감사의 인사를 전할 때 감동을 받았다.(발레리는 1년 전 체르노빌 사건으로 인해 어린이 암에 걸렸지만 유엔 프로그램의 일환으로 도움을 받아 현재는 회복 중에 있다)

타치아나 곧제바 회장(우크라이나)은 여성연합의 창시자의 말씀을 기반으로 하여 연설을 했다. 곧제바 회장은 프리섹스는 현대 사회에서 가장 큰 문제라고 강조했다. 또한 아이들의 인권과 순결, 사회의 관점과 행동 형성을 위해 부모의 사랑이 매우 중요함을 연설했다.

시상식과 연설이 번갈아 진행되었으며 유명한 가수들의 노래와 합창단, 아름다운 음악 공연들로 마무리 되었다.

International conference : Woman — Peacemaker in the family, nation and world

On April 24, 2012 WFWP-Ukraine held 5th annual international conference, dated to Mother’s day. The conference goal was to emphasize the role of women and mothers in building a peaceful society and to unite state and public organizations under values of family, motherhood and peacemaking.

The conference was attended by 200 people from different parts of Ukraine: state and public figures, representatives of Ministries, state City and oblast departments, leaders of public organizations, prominent artists, educators, scientists.

Maintaining its international status, the conference gathered representatives of Ukraine, Japan, Great Britain and Russia.

Traditionally the conference had “Woman of the year” award ceremony, where 10 outstanding women of Ukraine received this award in different nominations.

«Woman-public figure» award was given to well-known state figure and present head of All-Ukrainian public organization «Women's Union of Ukraine».

Mother of 6 talented children and grand-mother of 9 grandchildren, a head of regional union of families with many children received «Woman-mother of many children» award.

The lady who was school director and deputy of Supreme Council and made a lot for the development of one of the biggest regions in Kiev received award in «Woman-teacher» nomination.

“Woman-Olympic champion” award went to double Olympic champion, five-time world champion, four-time European champion and "World yachtsman of the year 1997".

Associate Professor of Department of Foreign Languages in Kiev University of International Relations became «Woman-scientist» nominee.

The director of one of the best palaces of culture in Kiev, former head of regional department of culture was awarded as «Woman-culture worker».

People's Artist of Ukraine who had been serving to theatrical art for about 78 years received «Woman-artist» award.

Honored Doctor of Ukraine, physician of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine clinics received «Woman-doctor» award.

«Woman-statesman» award was given to school teacher who was elected as a Head of Village Council and gave a new life to her native village.

«Woman-journalist» award went to lady who has been working as executive secretary of Kiev Journalists Union for 37 years.
