여성연합 아르헨티나 본부는 10월 31일, 부에노스아이레스 평화대사관에서 ‘여성, 종교간의 협력’이라는 이름 아래 다른 종교적, 문화적 배경을 가진 여성들과 함께 ‘평화의 다리-자매결연’ 행사를 가졌다.

기독교, 유대교, 이슬람 세 종단을 대표하여 복음교회의 노에미 파레데스 목사와 마리사 브레이란 박사, 시리아에서 온 파이자 야히아 씨가 평화세계를 위해 노력하겠다는 선언서에 서명을 하였다. 이어 여성연합을 대표하여 올가 벨트라미노 씨가 우리의 비전과 활동에 대해 설명하였으며, 여성연합 아르헨티나의 로제타 콘티 회장이 문선명 총재의 자서전 일부를 낭독하며 지구촌 한 가족 시대를 맞이하여 함께 나아가기를 고무하였다.

다음으로 자매결연식을 통해 총 12쌍의 자매가 탄생하였으며, 자매결연 서명과 케이크 커팅을 하며 식을 마무리 지었다.

South America-Argentina, 'Bridge of Peace: Women and Interreligious Cooperation'

On October 31, WFWP Argentina held a 'Bridge of Peace' ceremony on the theme of 'Women and Interreligious Cooperation', attended by women from different cultures and religions at the Buenos Aires Peace Embassy.

First, three women from the Abrahamic religious traditions expressed their good will to promote friendship and to cooperate in joint future initiatives.

An evangelical minister, Mrs. Noemi Paredes, representing Christianity, together with Dr. Marisa Braylan, representing the Jewish community, and Mrs. Faiza Yahia from Syria, representing Islam, shared their hearts and signed a symbolic declaration to invest their efforts to bring about a peaceful world.

Mrs. Olga Beltramino, WFWP Argentina, explained our vision and work, and Mrs. Rosetta Conti (the WFWP Argentina President) quoted from Dr. Sun Myung Moon's Autobiography, which inspired participants to work together to create 'One Global Family.'

Twelve pairs of women then crossed the bridge of peace and became sisters. They signed certificates and cut a cake together.

To celebrate this sisterhood ceremony, Japanese missionaries performed Japanese dances and songs.
