지난 9월 1일, 여성연합 네팔 본부는 카트만두, 바벌머헐에 위치한 바이탁 레스토랑에서 자선 모금행사인 ‘티즈 축제와 티파티’를 가졌다. 네팔의 여성들을 위한 티즈(Teej) 축제를 맞이하여 여성의 날을 축하하고, 여성연합을 알려 새로운 회원을 영입하기 위해서다.

이번 행사는 블레씨 회장(WFWP네팔)의 여성연합 국제 활동에 대한 보고와 새로운 회원들의 자기소개, 티즈 축제의 진정한 의미에 대한 강의 시간을 가졌다.

이 날 행사에는 총 38명의 여성들이 참석하였으며, 그 중 21명이 새롭게 회원으로 가입하였다. 모금활동의 결과로 45,650 루피(422달러)를 모았다.

 
Asia - Nepal Charity Fundraising Event: ‘Teej Festival and Tea Party’

On September 1, WFWP Nepal Headquarters held a charity fundraising event titled ‘Teej Festival and Tea Party’ at the Baithak Restaurant, located in Babarmahal, Kathmandu. In light of the upcoming Teej Festival held for the women of Nepal, the event was held to celebrate Women’s Day and to promote the WFWP and recruit new members.

The event included a report on the global activities of the WFWP by President Blessie Dhakal (WFWP Nepal), a self-introduction of the new members, and a lecture on the true meaning of the Teej Festival.

The day’s event was attended by a total of 38 women, of whom 21 had newly joined as members. The fundraising event collected a total of 45,650 rupees (422 dollars).
