지난 6월 29일 말레이시아 페탈링 자야의 평화대사관에서 ‘문화체험을 통한 국제 교류’ 행사가 열렸다. 여성연합 말레이시아 본부는 참석자들이 자신과 다른 문화를 존중하고 이해하면서 자신들의 세계관을 넓힐 수 있도록 돕고자 하는 취지에서 이번 행사를 마련하였다.

이번 행사에는 60여명의 여성연합 말레이시아의 회원들과 초청된 손님들이 모여 한식인 김치와 잡채를 함께 요리하고 나누어 먹었다. 맛있는 한국 음식에 이어, 한국 전통춤과 노래 ‘사랑해’, 한복입기 체험, 간단한 한국 인사말 배우기, 한국풍경감상 등 다양한 프로그램을 가졌다.

이번 교류행사는 말레이시아 대중들에게 비전2020을 향한 행복하고 건강한 가족 만들기에 도움이 되었다고 본다.

International Friendship Event

On June 29, WFWP Malaysia held an event "International Friendship through Cultural Experience" at the Malaysian Peace Embassy in Petaling Jaya. WFWP Malaysia organized this event to broaden people's world view through respecting and understanding other cultures.

About 60 WFWP guests and members attended, cooked and enjoyed Korean food such as Kimchi and Japchae together. The participants then experienced Korean traditional dance and costume. They put on the Hanbok and sang the song "Saranghae" together, as well as learned Korean greetings and viewed Korean sceneries on slides.

Bringing generations together in such a pleasant manner will help the Malaysian public to build happy, healthy families for the realization of the country’s Vision 2020.
