2011 장학금 후원 및 학용품 지원

1월 20일, 치트완 지부는 회원들은 치트완시에 있는 브한다라 (Bhandara) 중학교 학생인 산토시 마자(8학년), 쿠마리 상보(7학년)두 명에게 각각 3,000Rs씩의 장학금을 전달했다.

또한 2월 12일에는 브하누 브학타 (Bhanu Bhakta) 중학교에 다니는 8학년생 아디 카비(8학년)와 사리타 트하파(8학년)에게 추가적으로 장학금을 전달했다.

또한 회원들은 이밖에도 준비한 학용품과 가방, 옷과 약간의 학비를 지원하였다.

테지는 힌두교 최고의 신인 시바 (Shiva)는 이상적인 가정, 건강, 기혼 남자의 번영 혹은 미래 남편으로 완벽한 사람을 찾게 해 달라고 기원하는 힌두 여성들에게 있어 가장 큰 페스티발 중 하나이다.

페스티벌은 8월에 열렸으며, 치트완 지부 회원들은 이 행사가 새로운 회원을 찾는데 매우 좋은 기회라고 생각하였으며 총 50명의 회원들이 참석하였다.

또한 치트완 지부 회원들은 치트완 브하랍퓨어에 있는 샨티 비드야 만디아 영어 학교에 있는 낡은 화장실을 깨끗한 화장실로 바꿔주는 후원을 했다.

Nepal Chitwan Branch 2011 accomplishments:

The WFWP Chitwan sisters had a rally on 19 January for Maiya Devi Shrestha birthday program. Sister Floramie Paudel was there to support the Chitwan branch.

Chitwan Scholarship Programs 2011

January 20th, Chitwan WFWP sisters gave each  Rs 3,000 scholarship to two students at the Bhandara Secondary School in Bhandara, Chitwan.

1)Santosi Majar- class 8
2)Kumari Sangbo- class 7

The principal is Padma Raj Pathak. The girls were given stationary, bags, dresses and some tuition was also paid.

On February 12th, the Chitwan sisters gave an additional scholarship to Sarita Thapa, class 8 or the Aadi Kabi Bhanu Bhakta Secondary School. The prinicipal is Maruth Aahamad Khan.

Chitwan Teej Festival and Celebrations:

I am told Teej is the greatest festival for all Hindu women. Women worship Lord Shiva for an ideal family—a healthy, prosperous husband for those married, or the perfect future husband for those that are single. The women fast for 24 hours where they come together for joyful singing and dancing. The festival takes place in August. The Chitwan sisters felt it was a good opportunity to increase memberships. It is reported that there were 50 participants that came to share Teej with WFWP.

Shanti Vidya Mandir English School, in Bharatpur, Chitwan.
