산모와 신생아 지원활동

2010년 12월 24일 케냐 여성연합은 케냐타 내셔널 병원을 방문 하였다.

크리스마스 이브인 24일 엄마가 된 산모들과 신생아들에게 옷을 선물을 전해 주었다. 또한 병원비가 없어 퇴원 하지 못하고 구금되어 있는 산모들을 지원했다.

이번 방문은 환경·사회분과의 매리 오몰로 위원장이 기획으로 어려운 환경 가운데 있는 산모들과 신생들에게 희망을 전해주고, 출산을 통해 엄마가 된 산모들을 축하하기 위한 의미 있는 방문이었다.

Christmas Visit to Kenyatta National Hospital by WFWP Kenya members: December 24, 2010

This visit was organized by the subcommittee on Public health, Environment and Social problems led by Mrs. Mary Omolo. We chose December 24 because we wanted to visit the new mothers, give them clothes for their newborns, as well as liberate some of them who had been detained for lack of money to pay the hospital bills. It was meant to bring hope to the new mothers and something to celebrate about.
