아시아 여성연합은 미국의 유타 대학교와 공동 주관으로 2010년 12월 17일~18일 이틀 동안 태국방콕(SC Park Hotel)에서 제1차 아시아 국제 컨퍼런스 - 육아와 가정의 기술」주제로 개최되었다.

태국 방콕의 ‘국가약물통제사무소’와 ‘사회발달 국민안보부’의 지원을 받아「육아와 가정의 기술을 바탕으로 한 프로그램」이라는 주제로 진행되는 이번 컨퍼런스는 미국 유타대학교의 육아교육, 마약, 범죄예방 분야의 전문가, 아시아, 미국, 호주, 포루투갈의 정부단체, 유엔국제기구 및 시민사회단체 등 93명의 여성지도자들이 함께 했다.

또한 문난영 회장은「가정의 강화를 위한 여성의 역할」이라는 주제로 기조연설을 통해 부부의 사랑, 부모와 자녀의 사랑 형제의 사랑과 가족관계의 중요성을 전했다. 이후 자매결연 행사, 초종교원리워크샵과 견학으로 컨퍼런스 일정은 마무리 되었다.

International Conference on Parenting and Family Skills

WFWP Asia organizes its 1st International Conference on Parenting and Family Skills co-hosted by the University of Utah, with support from the National Office of Drug Control of Thailand and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Bangkok, Thailand.

Ninety-three women leaders from Asia, USA, Australia and Portugal, representing governments, United Nations, international organizations and civil society institutions attended the conference held at the SC Park Hotel on December 17-18, 2010. Mr. Gary Lewis from United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime opened the conference and Prof. Dr. Lan Young Moon spoke on “Family as a School of Love.” Prof. Karol Kumfer introduced the Strengthening the Family program during the keynote address.
