4월 19일 대만 여성연합은 장룽파 인터내셔넬 컨벤션 센터에서 대만지도자 250여명이 참석한 가운데 ‘제2차 세계여성평화네트워크 대회’를 개최하였다. 

 

이날 대회에는 챠오 챈 전 회장(대만 여성연합)의 개회사, 레이 모우 회장(외교부 비정부기구 국제사협회)과 키르멘 수레다 부처장(벨기에 대만영사)의 격려사, GWPN영상 시청, 문난영 회장의 기조연설 순으로 진행되었다.

 

릴리 린 회장(대만 여성연합)의 소개로 단에 오른 문난영 회장은 ‘참사랑으로 평화의 가정을 만드는데 있어서의 여성의 안전’이라는 주제로 기조연설을 했다.

 

기조연설에서 문난영 회장은 “지구촌 곳곳에서는 세계 평화의 걸림돌이 되고 있는 종교와 이념의 갈등, 인종과 문화 분쟁이 계속되고 있다. 그렇기 때문에 여성들의 모성애를 바탕으로 용서와 화해의 참사랑으로 이 문제들을 해결함으로 참부모님께서 창설하신 ‘아벨여성 유엔’의 뜻을 실천해야 한다. 이 자리에 우리가 함께 모인 이유다.”라며 GWPN의 의미를 되새겼다. 

 

특히 이날 대회에는 미누테 알라파티 타우포 투발루 대만 대사 부부가 함께 하여 GWPN을 축하 했다.

 

On April 19, WFWP-Taiwan held an ‘Anniversary Celebration of the Global Women’s Peace Network – Taiwan’ at the International Convention Center, Chang Yung-Fa Foundation Building in Taipei. Approximately 250 Taiwanese leaders attended.

The program included an opening address by Ms. Chao-O Chen (WFWP-Taiwan, President), VIP addresses by Ray Mou (CEO of NGO Dep., International Affairs of the Foreign Affairs Ministry and Madame Sureda Carmen (Belgian Office Taipei, Deputy Director), a video presentation and a Keynote Speech by Dr. Lan Young Moon (WFWP International President).

Dr. Lan Young Moon gave a keynote speech on ‘Safeguarding Women’s Security and Creating a Peaceful Home with True Love.’ In her speech she stated, "Still, conflicts of religion and ideology and the disputes of race and culture are obstacles to world peace that have continued in many parts of the world. Therefore, we women resolve these problems through the spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation in love, and that is, of course, a characteristic of maternal love. This is the very reason why we have gathered here today, in the name of the GWPN, to put into practice the goals of the ‘Abel Women UN’ founded by True Parents."

Especially, H.E. Mr. Minute Alapati Taupo, Ambassador of Tuvalu to Taiwan and his wife attended and congratulated the GWPN.
